Corporate Community Outreach
Plan and manage an annual “Family Fun Day” for The JBG Companies with Myers Public Relations. The festival is designed to foster goodwill among numerous distinct audiences while giving families an enjoyable and entertaining experience. This successful and very collaborative annual event is quickly becoming a model for other communities.


Government Customer Service
Created and delivered numerous customer service programs for Fauquier County Government designed to enhance the customer experience while successfully addressing numerous cultural diversity issues and language barriers among distinct audiences. These targeted programs resulted in fewer customer and staff complaints, an increase in completed transactions, and higher staff morale.


Education Marketing Communications
Designed a user-friendly application process for the Challenger Center, a nationally known K–12 non-profit, allowing local communities to apply more efficiently. The new toolkit and procedures assisted local jurisdictions across the U.S. through a comprehensive submission process resulting in unprecedented network expansion.


Cultural Awareness Training
As a certified Occupational Spanish instructor, have taught more than 350 professionals from various industries to communicate at work on a daily basis with the Hispanic community, i.e., customers, vendors, constituents, members, employees.


Corporate Website
Recruited and managed an interactive team on behalf of BTG, a nationally recognized defense contractor, to redesign its corporate website. The initiative resulted in increased traffic, brand recognition, and a “Best of Industry” award by the Web Marketing Association.


Corporate Marketing Communications
Retained by the communications department of a 5,000-employee government IT contractor to conduct corporate-wide communication audits, provide strategic communication planning and support, and manage the public company’s annual report and website redesign processes over several years.


Developer Community Outreach
Planned and managed an outdoor concert series for Reston Heights with Myers Public Relations. The 6-concert series successfully created a sense of place, increased patronage to the hotels and restaurants, and enhanced the relationship between area residents and the developer.


Education Business Development
Led initiative for George Mason University’s continuing education department to identify opportunities for expanding course enrollment. Conducted needs assessment and qualitative market research with prospects and clients. Provided recommendations to university’s provost and executive steering committee. The department implemented the recommendations, increasing enrollment by 100% in fewer than 3 years.


Financial Event Management
Developed and managed the MOST ATM/POS network’s annual meeting. The integrated campaign included introducing an exhibitor’s program, recruiting nationally recognized speakers, and managing an extensive member outreach program. This multi-year initiative exceeded the network’s growth and expansion goals.


Association PR
Developed and managed a nationwide public relations and media outreach campaign for a national education association. The association’s name recognition, relationship building and community outreach efforts have increased dramatically.


Corporate Community Outreach
Created and managed a grass roots community outreach campaign for a large commercial developer on behalf of establishing a dialog and good will among numerous home owner associations and their residents. This pro-active initiative successfully eased tensions between the residents and the developer and is now fostering idea sharing, public art discussions and retailer suggestions.


Non Profit Event Promotions & Marketing Communications
Co-chaired marketing and outreach committee responsible for launching the HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington, now celebrating its second decade as a premier HR awards program. Developed the identity, website, and collateral materials for the awards program. Managed all aspects of creating awareness about the program, marketing the nominations process and promoting the awards gala, all within a 6-month period. Extensive outreach to community stakeholders, including senior management and HR professionals throughout the tri-state area.
